A Snapshot: 10 Years of Youth: SCIE has contributed 880 world-elite students :

the first of its kind. In September of 2003, the first class of 101 students from Shenzhen College of International Education (SCIE) began their pursuit of an international education in China.

Before the summer, A1 students participated in the Cambridge International Examinations. The average AS scores was 25.3% higher than similar schools in the UK.

the year of smooth sailing. The first graduating class of 31 students got accepted into various world-class universities: three at Oxbridge, four at Imperial College, four at London School of Economics, four in the United States, and one attended the University of Hong Kong for Law. The graduation ceremony took place at Shenzhen East Lake Hotel. After many trials, SCIE finally settled in the current location of ShuiWei and HuangGang Park.

the year of growth. The second graduating class of 29 students also got accepted into various esteemed universities in the United States, UK, Canada, and Australia.

the year of consolidation. This year produced 74 graduates and again, all of them fulfilled their wishes and entered their dream schools. Aside from obtaining entrances into the likes of Oxford, Cambridge and Imperial, students from this class also entered top ranked universities such as the University of Chicago and Pomona College. This was also the first year in which the same number of students went to US schools as to the UK.

the year of prosperity. This was another great year for SCIE graduates, with 135 students able to attend their dream universities and colleges. Of those, four went to Cambridge, two to Oxford, eleven to Imperial, and three to LSE. On the US side, there were 71 graduates accepted to schools such as Columbia University, UCLA, and the University of Wisconsin—Madison, etc. Another four graduates went to nearby Hong Kong universities.

the year of expansion. The 6th years since SCIE establishment, our graduates enrolled into universities at 6 different countries; expanding into new territories such as University of Arts London, Parsons, School of Visual Arts, and the world’s number one hotel management university - Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne.

the year of steady development. 151 more SCIE graduates enrolled in Cambridge, Oxford, London School of Economics, Cornell, Middlebury College, University of Toronto, University of Sydney, and University of Hong Kong…many more world-class universities are opening their doors to SCIE students.

the year of fruition. SCIE’s philosophy – emphasis on the process of learning, encourage student’s interest and potential – became pronounced. 143 graduates enrolled in Cambridge, Oxford, London School of Economics, and UC Berkeley etc... Few students even got accepted into Eastman School of Music at the University of Rochester.

What to do after matriculation? Many more students enrolled in their dream schools, with a focus on their interested majors and eyes on their future careers. SCIE’s education system prepares students for their college education and beyond.

In terms of academic grades or graduates’ placements, SCIE now stands shoulder to shoulder with any Sixth Form college in the UK. The former Chief Executive of CIE, Mr. Ken Murray, once sent a letter to SCIE congratulating its fantastic A-Level grades. Mr. Murray himself, along with CIE Asian Affairs Director, Mr. Stephen Stocker, and Chief Coordinator in Asia, Mr. Steven Parker, came to SCIE on more than one occasion to see for themselves the campus that has made this an exemplary school in China.
