[SCIE web news, March 22th, 2017]AMC - American Mathematics Competitions, are held by Mathematics of America(MAA). It started in 1950 and soon became one of the most famous and recognizable mathematics competition worldwide.
AMC had three different tasks and each of them represents different grades. All of the test papers are directed by the MAA. And the top 2.5% of the participants in AMC10 and the top 5% in the AMC12 could enter the next stage, AIME (American Invitational Mathematics Examination).
One year, only within North America, the formal registration of students is more than 600 thousand, AMC is currently the world's most authoritative mathematics competition. Canada, Singapore, Chinese, Japan, Hungary, Greece, Turkey, France and other more than 20 countries worldwide tested together, the examination results obtained in the world widely recognized. In the process of applying for admission to foreign universities, AMC scores could be an important reference factor, and its excellent results often play the role of icing on the cake.
This year, over 100 students from SCIE participate in the match, though it can be called the first year that students from SCIE attended the competition, we still earned a good result. Among over sixty prize winners, our students had eight of them, they are:
