My learning feast-----My memorable G1 and G2
2017-05-29

[SCIE web news, May 29th, 2017] Wind picked leaves carefully, added some pieces of autumn’s dreary to SCIE’s campus. Who can notice that it is midsummer now if heat waves haven’t broken the ground until it is dry and cracked?

(The Golden Morning and my Golden Time of Youth)

I even saw past self, in the blazing sun? I used to be ignorant and had naïve fantasy on senior high school life. I used to think that there would be an erudite professor leading us into “ocean” of knowledge at SCIE’s lesson. However, I was totally remodeled after an India teacher’s class: sometimes, she gives us a speech impassioned; sometimes, she cries like a poet. But her “India English” is too turbid that I can’t understand even a single word. The students around me were filled with dull and blank. Fortunately, we became numb after a few lessons.

SCIE’s canteens are horrible too. I had to go across mountains of cockroach carcass for a meal at the beginning of the semester. As a result of frequently jumping the queue; we usually spend half an hour waiting in the queue. Then, we need to keep balance on the smooth dirty floor holding with a heavy plate and try to find a usable table. The colors of most of the tables have been changed. The tables also have rancid smelling. I closed my eyes, covered my nose, used a chopstick that full of oil to cut food from the plate, threw food to my mouth, and chew unwillingly. Food usually has unusual color, such as light blue, blackish green, and so on. All of those contributed to my psychological shadow permanently.

SCIE’s dormitory life is similar to monastic life. Severe winter and hot summer provided us strong physique and steadfast soul; Noise from ShuiWei village taught us steeliness; Symphony played by mosquito taught us how to enjoy our life; houseparent who lurk at the other side of door helped us keep alert all the time; broken air conditioner made us realized that we should be independent. Roommates always have infinite brilliant idea to share with each others.  Conversations are related to politics, technology, culture, history, economy, physiology and so on. Thank goodness, with hard-working from headmaster and houseparent, dormitory became a place where allows people finally survive.

My favorite teacher in SCIE is Mr. Li, my geography teacher at G1 level. Li’s lesson had sense of humors. He summarized all the knowledge in a logical way for us. He has good attitude for learning and interesting learning methods. He was hard-working as he always writes notes which are teeming with the whiteboard. He seldom leaves early or come late. He never set useless homework to us and always corrects them earnestly. Once he talked his dream for us: he will take part in a developing of a free application for education. He will donate all of his geography notes. He hopes that it can help some students who want to study abroad but don’t have a chance to study in international school. He said some parents don’t want him donate his notes; they want to buy it with high price, but he refused. I’m so ashamed to Chinese parents’ corrupted morality. However, he was expelled at the beginning of this semester with some unknown reasons. I believe he will go further to make his dream come true. The only thing I can do is pray for him devoutly.

Time is moving inadvertently. Death knell for 2017 semester is being ringed. I had experienced hope and despair in the 2 years. 2 years later, I will have to follow seniors to the remotest corners of the globe. I only want there are always a corner in my heart that is belong to SCIE. After many years, when I open the album, there shall be conversant school and yours.

(discussing with my classmate in PHSE)

(I often missed my breakfast, so I got detention from Elaine Liu, and I’m doing detention with my head teacher Elaine Liu in physics lab)

(Mr. Li found a new toy in geography classroom)

This is my memorable time in G1 and G2. My golden time in SCIE!
