Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards are a group of awards issued by Cambridge International Education, that recognize exceptional achievement in Cambridge exams around the world. These awards aim to encourage and recognize students who have outstanding achievements in Cambridge International Examinations.
In the newly announced 2024 awards list released by Cambridge International Education, 51 students from SCIE received Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards. Among them, 35students won the ‘Top in the World’ award, 12 students won the ‘Top in China’ award, and 4 students won the ‘High Achievement’ award.
This achievement not only highlights the academic strength of SCIE students, but also marks the 17th consecutive year that SCIE has ranked first in China (excluding 2020 when international exams were canceled due to COVID-19) since the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards mechanism was established in 2008. Over the 17 years, SCIE students have achieved 177 ‘Top in the World’ awards, 207 ‘Top in China’ awards, 46 ‘High Achievement’ awards, with a total of 430 awards.
Among the subjects awarded in 2024, SCIE students continued to perform strongly in Mathematics, winning 29 ‘Top in the World’ awards. Additionally, students in Biology and Computer Science also won ‘Top in China’ awards, demonstrating SCIErs’ comprehensive strength in science and engineering.
In terms of language and literature, SCIE students have won awards in Chinese, English Language, Spanish, French, and World Literature, showcasing their solid foundation in language learning and outstanding cross-cultural communication and comprehension.
As for humanities and social sciences subjects, SCIErs have been awarded in Economics, Sociology, Psychology, Geography, and Global Perspectives. These achievements show the sound foundation SCIE has established for students to learn as well as students’ passion for research and in-depth exploration in humanities and social sciences.
Students also received awards in Art & Design, Music, Physical Education and Sports Science, reflecting the comprehensive and innovative nature of SCIE’s arts and sports education.
