SCIE Students Shine in International Mathematics Competitions

Recently, the results of various international mathematics competitions have been announced, and SCIE students have achieved outstanding results in three prestigious competitions: the British Mathematical Olympiad BMO Round 1, the American Mathematics Competition AMC 10/12, and the Senior Mathematical Challenge of the UKMT. Once again, they have demonstrated exceptional mathematical proficiency and strong international competitiveness.

In BMO Round 1, Tianluo Du was awarded the Global Gold Medal, while Zimo Wu received the Global Bronze Medal. Additionally, 33 students earned the Global Distinction, and 56 students received the Global Merit award. A total of 89 students successfully advanced to BMO Round 2, preparing to take on the next level of challenges.

In the AMC 10/12 competition, our students also delivered remarkable performances. 49 students were listed on the Honor Roll of Distinction, 152 students received the Distinction award, and 99 students were included in the Achievement Roll. Furthermore, 4 students earned recognition on the School Honor Roll, and an impressive 349 students qualified for the American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME), showcasing their solid mathematical foundation.

In the UKMT-SMC competition, 11 students won the Global Gold Medal and were recognized as Best in School, while 1 student received the Global Gold Medal along with the Best in Year honor. Additionally, 80 students received the Global Gold Medal, 10 students earned the Global Silver Medal, and 4 students were awarded the Global Bronze Medal.

Mathematics, as a discipline that fosters logical thinking and innovation, is not only a competition challenge but also a crucial tool for exploring the world. We look forward to seeing SCIE students continue to push their limits, strive for excellence, and achieve even greater success on the international stage in their mathematical journey ahead.
