Bridging Excellence: Top Universities Visit SCIE in Fall 2025

In the autumn of 2025, Shenzhen College of International Education (SCIE) welcomed representatives from numerous world-renowned universities to campus. Over the course of several weeks, SCIE students engaged in a series of in-depth, face-to-face exchanges with admissions officers from leading global institutions.

This year’s visiting universities included not only top institutions from the UK and North America, but also prestigious universities from Hong Kong, as well as internationally recognized art schools such as Otis and SAIC

The events took various forms—from large-scale university fairs to smaller, focused discussions—and covered a wide range of topics including admissions briefings, interview preparation, and academic lectures. Together, they addressed key questions students often encounter during university applications and program selection.

SCIE then hosted the InitialView University Fair, featuring institutions such as UC Berkeley, Vanderbilt University, and Carnegie Mellon University. More than 200 students connected with university representatives, exchanged contact information, and gained access to first-hand admissions updates.

The UK-focused sessions welcomed representatives from the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, University College London, King’s College London, and others. Both Cambridge and Oxford engaged in several discussions with SCIE’s University Counselling & Careers Office team, which offered clearer guidance on college-specific preferences regarding super-curricular engagement, as well as strategies for preparing for academic interviews.

In conversations with the University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, SCIE’s counseling team verified recent updates to admissions standards, newly introduced academic programs, and key requirements for application materials, timelines, and personal statements.

These face-to-face exchanges allow SCIE’s counseling team to incorporate first-hand, up-to-date information directly into personalized advising and internal programming, helping students craft more precise and strategic application plans for overseas universities.

The success of this season’s visits is the result of long-standing relationships maintained by SCIE’s counselors, as well as the enthusiasm and active participation of our students. Such direct connections with universities provide students with invaluable access to accurate information and continued communication channels with world-class institutions.

Although the fall visit season has come to a close, SCIE’s partnerships with top global universities will continue to deepen. The school will regularly publish upcoming visit schedules and relevant resources, and all new information will be shared promptly through the UCO Bulletin and the official school calendar. Students are strongly encouraged to participate in future events and to consult university representatives and counselors, which is a powerful step in proactively shaping the educational journey.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all visiting institutions, our dedicated counseling team, and every student who took part. More opportunities for direct engagement with leading universities lie ahead.
