ECAs–To Build Teamwork, Social Responsibility and Leadership

To cultivate students’ sense of social responsibility, the school has always encouraged students to organize and evaluate themselves. It is hoped that they will grow up with the ability to make positive choices for their work and life, possess an independent value system and the power to take action, while also maintaining a tolerant attitude towards differing opinions. They will become citizens capable of benefiting themselves, their families, and society.

At the very beginning of every semester, SCIE organizes an ECA Fair, providing each club with the opportunity to introduce itself and address inquiries from interested students. The establishment of an ECA club can be initiated by a teacher or a student with a teacher sponsor. When clubs are established, students can choose the right clubs that suit their interests.

This academic year, SCIE has three main categories of clubs: academic, social, and sports, which are further divided into 13 subcategories, totalling over 250 active clubs. To better guide students in finding a balance between their studies and hobbies, most clubs operate with the support of a supervising teacher.
