Mrs. Borka Popovic has more than 25 years of experience in teaching chemistry. She taught chemistry in Serbia in middle schools and grammar school for twenty years and five years at the International School in China. She has experience in teaching A-level and IGCSE Chemistry.
Due to the overall outstanding results of teaching with modern teaching methods, and the high level of didactic-methodical competences which as a result has achieved a high level of students’ knowledge, as well as for participating in research works related to the methodology of teaching chemistry, in 2008 she was awarded the recognition – The best high school teacher in Vojvodina, Serbia, awarded by the Government of the Province of Vojvodina, Republic of Serbia.

She holds a master’s in education from University College London and have taught across different educational systems, including a year as a professional intern and four years as a full-time teacher in the American public school system. Yinjiao Gong is certified to teach both in the USA and the UK with a Professional Teaching License for Adolescence to Young Adult from the State of Ohio (USA) Department of Education and a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) from the UK’s Department for Education. Since joining SCIE in 2022, Yinjiao Gong has been specializing in chemistry education, utilizing her expertise and global perspective to enhance students’ learning experiences.

His professional interests include science education, conceptual understanding in chemistry, formative assessment, and inquiry-based learning. He is particularly interested in
helping students connect observable chemical phenomena with the underlying particle
model while developing scientific thinking, learner autonomy, and problem-solving skills. He believes that excellent science education should not only prepare students for academic success but also inspire curiosity, resilience, and a lifelong passion for learning.
