Respected teachers, dear fellow parents, and beloved Class of 2026 graduates,
Good day to all of you. I am the parent of Hins, a graduate of this year. It is my great honor and profound emotion to stand here as a parent representative at this graduation ceremony, witnessing this solemn and precious milestone in your lives.
On behalf of all parents of the Class of 2026, first, I would like to extend our warmest congratulations to every graduate who has successfully completed high school and is about to step onto the global stage! We also offer our sincerest gratitude to all leaders, teachers and staff members of SCIE. To every parent who has walked alongside us through these years, thank you for your companionship and support — we have all come a long way together.
We remember the years filled with joint efforts and unexpected challenges. As a member of the Parent Association over the past three years, I have witnessed parents supporting and comforting one another. During application seasons, we shared experiences, eased each other’s anxiety, celebrated your progress, and cheered you on through hardships. In daily school life, we saw you absorb knowledge earnestly in class, showcase your talents in clubs, and learn teamwork and responsibility through diverse practical activities.
We remember how you strove for every exam, polished application materials repeatedly, turned to teachers for guidance when lost, and shared joy with classmates amid achievements. These precious moments weave together your youthful years and become the warmest memories cherished by all parents.
We remember that SCIE has given you far more than a passport to world-class universities — it has granted you unshakable confidence for life’s journey. Here, you are free to pursue your passions, express yourselves boldly, and think independently about the world. Teachers here offer sincere guidance rather than rigid dogma. Guided by its original aspiration, distinctive educational philosophy, comprehensive curriculum and vibrant campus activities, SCIE safeguards every student’s growth. It has helped you learn independence, respect and resilience, and fostered a global vision — qualities far more valuable than any academic score.
We remember that all parents have walked a similar journey: we worried over trivial matters, voiced endless reminders out of care, and held high expectations for you. Gradually, we have learned to let go, respect your choices, and support your dreams.
We may not understand your trending words or imaginative thoughts, and we may have placed unnecessary pressure on you with overly high expectations. Yet please know, all of these stem from parents’ selfless love. This love will never chain your steps; instead, it will be your strongest backing. Home is not merely a shelter from storms, but an everlasting harbour you can always return to, no matter how far you voyage.
We will remember graduation today is not an ending, but a brand-new beginning of your life journey.
Soon, you will bid farewell to your campus, dedicated teachers and close classmates, heading to corners of the globe to start new chapters of life. The road ahead will have smooth paths and rough roads, moments of glory and times of confusion. Always hold fast to the independence and perseverance nurtured at SCIE, the friendship and courage gained through growth, and the endless love and support from your family. These will fuel you to overcome every future challenge.
May your future be bright and promising. May you walk steadily with kindness in your heart and light in your eyes. Wherever you go, strive to be confident, inclusive and responsible. Always remember: your family and alma mater will always stand behind you, blessing and watching over you forever.
