As the academic year drew to a close, G1 students enjoyed a memorable final week of term through G1 Week, a series of cross-curricular activities designed to encourage creativity, collaboration and curiosity.
From reimagining classical poetry through AI-generated artwork and tackling the Physics Egg Drop Challenge to building DNA models, constructing mathematical towers and taking part in a trading simulation, students embraced opportunities to learn, create and work together. Musical performances and drama productions added to the celebrations, bringing the school community together as the year came to an end.
On 12 June, the final day of the 2025–2026 academic year, G1 students and staff gathered in Halo Theatre for the annual Awards Ceremony, marking the conclusion of another successful year.
The ceremony was hosted by G1 Head of Year Ms. Ines Del Prado Tusell, with Principal Mr. Neil Mobsby presenting certificates and trophies to award recipients. First, Ms. Angeline presented the Global Citizenship Award for this academic year. Following this, students who achieved the top three subject results this semester, as well as those who ranked in the top three overall, came to the stage one by one to receive their certificates and trophies from the Principal. Warm and heartfelt applause filled the hall as each award recipient was recognised.
While the ceremony celebrated academic excellence, it also provided an opportunity to reflect on the many forms of achievement demonstrated throughout the year. Whether contributing to a team project, performing on stage, embracing new challenges or growing in confidence in the classroom, every student has taken meaningful steps forward in their own way. These moments of progress, both large and small, have helped shape a year filled with learning, resilience and personal growth.
