Alumni Beibei Li is Recognized by AACYF Top 30 under 30, Class of 2021

“AACYF Top 30 under 30” 2021 list was released by the All America Chinese Youth Federation, LAPOST, Chinese American Institute for Public Diplomacy in Los Angeles on March 18, 2021.

There are 6 categories this year, 38 recipients were  selected from about 420 candidates. AACYF Top 30 under 30 is the only list selecting from Chinese American and Chinese students in the states, and it’s recognized as the most influential and credible selection for Chinese American start-ups.

According to AACYF Top 30 under 30 List Judging Committee: they are most important young entrepreneurs, creative leaders and brightest stars for our Chinese communities’ future.

About Beibei Li

Beibei Li is the founder and CEO of Advent Children’s Museum, one of the first private children’s museums in China.

In College, Beibei studied and developed passion in psychology and education. She served as a student teacher at Wellesley Child Study Center and Harvard Yard Child Care Center. As a researcher, she observed children at Boston Children’s Museum regularly. Beibei later became a curriculum designer at MIT Design Lab, and was trained as the first certified Social Emotional Learning teacher in China.

Reflecting on her own upbringing, and her time in different children spaces in Boston, Beibei believes in the value of children-friendly spaces that promotes the power of play and engage parents in the valuable experience. With a team who share similar background and belief, Beibei started Advent. Advent Children’s Museum seeks to create experiential learning experiences through specially curated exhibitions on various topics. Since 2018, Advent has hold three major exhibitions and several community exhibitions in shopping malls, public parks, community centers, and libraries, serving more than 100,000 families.

Prior to Advent, Beibei was on the Investment team of Zhen Fund, one of the top angel funds in China.

Beibei received an undergraduate degree from Wellesley College in Economics and Psychology.

Advent is an emerging children’s museum in China, founded by scholars and educators who have studied both in China and the United States. Unlike conventional children’s museums, Advent specializes in creating mini-museums that travel to different cities, making the experience more accessible.

Shenzhen

Located in the MixC World, a destination mall in Shenzhen, China. Cooperating with Shenzhen Women & Children Foundation, Advent Children’s Museum helped children from 50 families to fulfill their small wishes as New Year gifts.

Nanning

Located in the Mix City, a destination mall in Nanning, China.

The Advent team is a group of passionate education reformers who believe that meaningful exposures to the real world should be provided to every child. Interactive exhibits built on rigorous real-world content is one of the best ways to give children informative and fun adventures in their early childhood. We create original installations, adapt existing exhibits into interactive form, and ship them to urban and suburban areas across China for children to experience.

Since 2018, Advent has hold three major exhibitions and several community exhibitions and educational programs in shopping malls, public parks, community centers, and libraries, serving more than 100,000 families.

Advent Children’s Museum partners is the first Chinese museum that collaborates with New York University’s Conceptual Development and Social Cognition (CDSC) Lab, promoting the development of cognitive science.

Advent Children’s Museum received three rounds of funding.
