[SCIE web news, February 20th, 2017]The reality television show, RunningMan, originated from Korea, is welcomed by many people in China due to its high level of entertainment and humorous. Being as one of the few clubs in SCIE that only aims for entertaining and easing, the RunningMan Competition had been held by us for the second time among our school on the last Thursday afternoon before the winter vacation.
Firstly, The capability or skill needed by the contestants in order to finish this competition is about their acting skills. More specifically, each team has a spy that aimed for being as a drag on its team, in order to make the team lose. There are mainly three parts in the competition. This first one is outdoor sports activity, which tested the coordination and perseverance among the team mates, such as the ‘pressure plate’, a typical item in the competition.
Secondly, as the sky goes dark, here comes the second part of the competition, drinking the high-gradient salt water. Every team only has one cup of salt water and the others are normal water. The one who drinks the salt water has to pretend that he doesn’t drink it by acting normally on his facial expression in order to prevent the other teams from guessing out .ho was the ‘lucky person’. Unexpectedly but also fortunately, nearly all the groups successfully deceived others, which means that many students are gifted at acting.
As the night approaches, our competition also gets to the end part, which is the ‘tear the tag’. Although the available locations are only between fifth and sixth floor, the students’ passion isn’t eliminated. In addition, all the spies start to enforce their responsibilities. The competition is so intense and fierce that it had to move the locations to the playground, which is much bigger. Finally, the winner is the purple team, which is composed of students from G2 and G1.
Although this competition is quite successful, there are something that needs improvements, such as the lack of space and the disturbance made to the other students. We will promise to hold a better competition next year and hope you guys can support us. Thanks!
