La La Land is often celebrated for its montage-like ending, but the heartfelt portrayal of Sparkling offers another dazzling scene. The energetically vibrant music and ensemble dance of the opening, “Another Day of Sun,” serve as the director’s small yet perfect prelude to the entire New Year’s concert.

Fluttering skirts, vibrant colors colliding, the surging emotions intertwined with pure dreams, all combine to create a near-flawless song and dance. Clean and precise movements embellish the brightest of smiles, while the exuberant singing and drumbeats ignite the entire venue.

“Another Day of Sun,” translated as a new day and new sunlight.

Perhaps the lovers are no longer together, and perhaps the purest dreams are difficult to realize, but I, and we, can still chase after brightness, chase after another day of sun, chase after our dreams and love that belong to you and me.

The new day has just begun, the new year has just started, and the new sunlight will shine upon each and every one of us, pouring down warmly from our shoulders, fervently growing.

Tide Rises | Music is the Heart of All Things

Found/Tonight and I’m so tired perfectly exemplify the significance of music for humanity. With music, one can endure even the coldest winter, and with friends and family by our side, we can overcome the most challenging moments.

A creative blend from Hamilton and Dear Evan Hansen, a dream collaboration between Lauv and Troy Sivan—both wonderfully and resonantly express similar themes: loneliness and confusion are the norm, but when you lose direction, motivation, and the courage to move forward, it’s worth turning to the side and looking back.

Because tired birds return to their nests, and weary souls find solace at home; beyond those shadows, the sunrise gently unfolds, and there will always be someone walking beside you, telling the story of tonight, even after years have passed.

After the glorious years, the vast sky is sincere and deeply moving, always bringing eternal tears to one’s eyes.

The interpretation of a classic song has always been a challenge and an opportunity combined, and fortunately, our performers this time immerse themselves with everyone, immersing in such a soulful resonance. In an instant, the distance between everyone is pulled together, and all the mobile phone lights automatically illuminate, shimmering in the dark theater scene, gathering into a flowing galaxy with waving arms. The emotions contained within transcend time and space, engraved in the heart.

You and I will both embark on our respective journeys into the distance, chasing floating dreams, chasing the waves of freedom.

However, no matter what, when the melody of As Boundless As The Sea And Sky plays, I believe we will remember, remember these unconscious hums, the unconscious chorus, and remember the resonating emotions during the New Year of 2024.

Cloud Surges | Caffeine and Psychedelic Rock

Summer nights have been defined by some as being ignited by caffeine and psychedelic rock. This description also applies to Flaneur and Marunochi, as their performances are like the moment when soda is poured into a glass, triggering a tsunami in everyone’s hearts.

The performance by Free Notes Jazz Band is filled with uncertainty and irregularity. Their improvisations and free-spirited solos are what set them apart. Together, we dream and fall into the whimsical adventure world they create. The color of nails changes like a chameleon in the shifting lights and shadows, suddenly accompanied by drum beats and thunderstorms, resonating passionately in everyone’s hearts. Finally, we wake up gently, finding ourselves swimming in a shallow sea composed of citrus fragrance and green vines.

Marunochi, brought by Elysium Band, originates from Shibuya. As a visual band, the members coincidentally embody unique Shibuya styles: wage slaves, maids, and subculture. The song expresses a fervor for Tokyo life, a breakthrough of the self, and liberation from constraints. A hint of jazz flavor and a melodic freedom make this performance so splendid, like weightlessness descending from the clouds and leaping into a dreamy pond saturated with caffeine.

The Ebb of Trends | The Drunken Concubine, Cao Cao, and River South

The legendary figure Cao Cao, accompanied by the grand and passionate melody of Cao Cao. The opening roar and the patterns behind the singer’s attire add a touch of mystery under the spotlight. Concluding this journey of uncertainties, we embrace The Drunken Concubine and River South.

The misty rain of Jiangnan, where our love remains eternal. The moments of agony, experiencing both love and heartbreak, are equally enchanting – love is both complex and easily lost. In the gentle melodies and hazy mist of Jiangnan, countless love stories seem frozen.

The Drunken Concubine presents a different charm. The melody is graceful, the dance moves are graceful, and the stage adorned with dazzling lights and costumes resembles a mesmerizing spectacle. Various dance steps seem to tread on clouds. With shaking short feathers and mellifluous tunes, each step gives birth to blooming lotus flowers, creating a magnificent cultural feast. From the turning of the icy wheel on the island, to the rising of the Jade Rabbit in the east, and the shining moon in the sky, it feels like Chang’e leaving her lunar palace.

Moonlit Night | Dancing to the Other Side of the World

Dance is an expression, a silent language that carries life and existence, awakening the withered part of our souls.

And the ensemble of instruments in Whale is so captivating – piano, yangqin, hulusi, guzheng, pipa, bamboo flute… combined with the dancers’ flowing and graceful movements, it convinces us that when the begonia blossoms, every big fish will meet, and everyone will reunite.

As the scene shifts, we arrive at a youthful and vibrant Perfect Night. The girls’ uninhibited dancing makes everyone who watches it unable to resist smiling – the perfect atmosphere and our flawless freedom and enthusiasm. The dancers fully showcase the vitality and energy, while the lively and delightful melody lingers in our ears, making you and I feel as if we’ve stepped into such a perfect night, dancing with friendship and youth.

Daytime | Flickering Candlelight, Illuminating the Sun and Moon

The performance of Light takes the atmosphere to another climax: even the tiniest light is still light, and though we may be small, we hold eternal significance in this world. The addition of opera singing adds a stunning touch – why listen to the sound of leaves rustling through the woods when we can sing and stroll leisurely… with a straw cape, embracing the misty rain throughout our lives. Please believe that the dark past cannot be chased, and the future will be brilliantly radiant. Whether we are insignificant or great, the future will shine brightly, suddenly clear.

Lastly, the collective Superman dance by the Events Division is an unexpected joy and delight. Familiar animated tunes play in our ears, and the playful and joyful choreography pulls everyone into this ocean of happiness. This is a commemoration unique to them, but also a warm memory for each and every one of us.

Unforgettable tonight, we will remember the charm and grace of each host, their effortless banter and composed demeanor on stage, and the tireless dedication and planning of the entire Events Division behind the scenes. We will also remember the flawless performance of the Spring Festival Overture and the seamless execution of the tongue twister competition. Furthermore, we will cherish the clever and delightful moments of every riddle game and poetic challenge, as well as the brilliant and imaginative idea of a thousand flowers blooming in the night breeze.

We will all remember tonight, for the sunshine and hope of the new year, for the continued togetherness of friends and family, for freedom and self-expression, and for everything we hold dear in this world that carries hope and tomorrow.
