SCIE is an independent IGCSE and A Level college (high school), founded in 2003 with the intention of sending the best Chinese students to top universities in the UK and USA by providing a full international education through the medium of English. The college is highly selective, accepting on average only 10% of applicants; as a result, the student body is exceptionally gifted and well-motivated. SCIE has had a great deal of success since its foundation with a large number of students being accepted by Oxford and Cambridge Universities; 27 students taking up Oxbridge places in 2018. The college is a fully accredited member of the Council of International Schools (CIS) and a member school of the regional organisations, EARCOS and FOBISIA. The current campus is located about 5 minutes away from the border with Hong Kong and about 1 hour away from Central, Hong Kong and Hong Kong International airport. In August 2020 the college will move to a new purpose-built campus in the same district, expanding to 2000 students by 2023.

At SCIE we believe safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and all employees are required to act in such a way that at all times safeguards the health and well-being of children and vulnerable adults.  Familiarisation with, and adherence to, the College Safeguarding Policy and Safe Practices Manual is an essential requirement of all employees, volunteers, contractors and members of our community.
